Violence in Kenya surrounding the recent elections has resulted in over 1,000 people killed and more than half a million homeless.  People have been killed in at least seven of our churches and many more wounded.  Many pastors have been driven from their churches because they were not of the majority tribe in their area.  Early in the violence, our building crew (with the block machine) came under attack and were wounded and much of the equipment was destroyed.
The situation in our area of  Kenya is such that we are forced to leave the area until the violence subsides.  We are now in the process of setting up a permanent base of operations in Botswana.  We have had some work in this country for awhile and the Lord has burdened our hearts to expand the work to these people. Please read the latest report.
While our hearts are broken over the deaths of many church members, we are encouraged to know that they are now in the presence of the Lord.  If it had not been for your willingness to be a part of God's work here in Africa, many of those may never have had the opportunity to hear the Gospel and prepare for eternity.
Thank You and God Bless You,
Joel & Jenna
